Welcome to prison_jail_vx. As the name implies, this map was made with the intention of being played on prison roleplay servers. Prison RP is NOT like some deathmatch where you kill everyone on the other team. In PRP you play as either a guard (Counter-Terrorist), or a prisoner (Terrorist).
The gaurd's job is to prevent prisoners from escaping, planting the bomb, or killing the gaurds... the three main goals for the prisoners. How to properly go about doing this varies from server to server, but it generally consists of capturing (or killing, if they get too rowdy) escaped prisoners and forcing them to do stuff, and in some servers, executing them after some time (please read the server rules first).
While this may seem simple at first, things can easily get out of hand considering there are weapons and secret passages all over the place for the prisoners to utilize. If all this seems overwhelming to you, you're better off playing as a prisoner, as there are little to no rules regarding interaction with the guards.

For those first playing this map for the first time, it can be rather difficult trying to figure out how to escape. But all it is really is pressing three buttons to unlock the main door and running to your escape vehicle in the forest.
One important thing to remember is that the three buttons you must press are flashing green. The first button of the three will be down the stairs in the Interrogation Section of the prison (east of the cells, next to the Work Section). This will open access to the second button.
The second button will in an armored booth at the main gate (right next to the parking lot, west of the cells). Pressing this will deactivate all lasergates across the prison giving you access to not only the third button, but also to multiple areas containing high-powered weapons for you to use against the guards.
The final button will be in the Guard Quarters, northwest of the cells. Pressing this will open the main gate, allowing you to escape to the forest. While there, I recommend picking up a shield and pistol, to deal with National Guard forces along the way. After going into the forest (head south after walking out the main gate), just go along the path to your escape vehicle and your done.
That's all there is to it. However, if you don't want to escape, there are other ways to win. One way is to kill all the guards, but that can be rather hard. Another way (and my favorite) is bombing the prison. To do so, you need a bomb... if you're familiar with how CS2D works, you'll know one of the prisoners (luckily you) will spawn with a bomb.
If you spawn with the bomb, escape from your cell and head toward the Interrogation Section, then head south. You will see a set of stairs to your left. After going down it, head through the Sanitation Chamber and just plant the bomb. Normally, I would say get the hell outta there, but just once, you should stick around and watch the massive explosion that will ensue.

This map was made quite some time ago, for SKLZ, then later, [N~]. Now, both are dead, so I have decided to release this map for all to freely use. This means you may...
- Host it on any server you want, without asking me (it'd be nice if you informed me though).
- Modify it.
- Edit this mission briefing or just remove it (please don't though).
- Distribute it (including edits) to others freely.
You may not...
- Remove any credits on the map (you can edit them to say, for example, Original Creator: Commando, Edit by [insert random name here]).
- Upload it somewhere saying you are the original creator of this map or any of the resources.
- Use the sprites in other maps without permission from the original creators.
That's it. You have alot of freedom to do what you want with this map, so if you believe theres something wrong, it's unbalanced, looks dull, etc, you can just edit it to your liking. I don't particularly mind if you don't tell me, but you can, and I can even try it out and offer my own input.

- id Software, for making Doom II, in which I ripped a few graphics (lava and acid tiles in particular) from.
- Useigor, for the Chevy Silverado and M1A1 Abrams sprites (which I resized to save space).
- Schattex, for the chair and bed sprites (which I slightly edited to accommodate my map).
- Sounds come from public domain resources or come with CS2D.
