Why didn't you set 35% transparency for the light?
And shadow layer should be over light layer.
The effect should be same as you can see in the tool "View Map" function

How does this look in the tool?

1st, Light Layer Uses 35% Transparency
2nd, Change Possition Of Shadow Layer (X - 32) and Light Layer (Y - 32)

ITS AWESOME,heres How I Made It Work
*Do This
1.extract the tool in cs2d folder
2.open ur tool
3.load ur map
4.place light bulbs wherever u like
5.go up where says tool
6.generate Shadow and lights layers
7.export them
8.open cs2d
9. go to map editor
10. go to ur map and add a env_sprite, one with light layer and one with shadow layer.
11.Make Sure The Shadow Layer is Shade and The Light Layer Is Light.

Play And BE AMAZED!!!

• Something like console to get all events and bugs reported.
• Few languages support.
• Texture bumping.

Best upload I've seen here for a long time. This shadow system really fits to cs2d and will make maps MUCH better.

ill make a mini tutorial...
1.extract the tool in cs2d folder
