Off Topic Better Gaming LaptopIt sucks. I fully support Apache uwu - Toshiba would fit you the best.
You can buy a better one for 50% cheaper than the alienware, the only thing they want money is the shiping 28 dollars/euros + the case of the pc andthe looks are 1/2 of the price, an alienare case on e-bay (in spain) costs 300 euros the cheapest, so it's the worst choise ever. I personaly would like to buy an alienware pc if i could but since i cant...

For you guys who are saying that the toshiba is better for gaming than the msi laptop, why?
Actually the MSI is better since it has a better video card. However, it doesn't justify such a big difference in the price.
Toshiba isn't a bad brand either. We're talking about one of the world's top electronics manufacturers.

at least 4gb video memory
wut, no... u dont need 4 gb most modern games run on 500mb - 1gb just depends on your type of card.
and i am actually using ASUS (idk name its i7 core with 8 gb ram) 15.6 Inch as my current computer, it has a nice design. battery is (4-5 hours on normal mode) but it has good specs which is what i need. as far as playing games it runs on some mobile chip so it pulls cs:s at medium-low settings but thats about it, if you want cheap gaming pc, build your own, that's what i did. and the clickers on the mouse-pad are super annoying i want to take them out somehow.
there are also external graphics card adapters for laptops.
No. Do some more research. MSI has the same features and it's cheaper. Alienware is liked due to its design, and not performance/features. (well, less likely)
Zurak: Yes you do. If you plan to not buy another laptop, and keep your old one for a few years, then that would fit. It's best to have a PC to game, and not a laptop.

i know alienware more expensive. but i like that..
You like paying more for hardware that you can get for much cheaper as well as much better from other non-Alienware brands considering that they use cheap Mexican sourced parts?
Dafuq, I say again, dafuq.

Well it depends from the person, if you can afort it and you have money, probably a pc like this will be normal like for those who buy a normal one, since the money won't be a problem.

It's not about money, it's about common sense.
If i were rich i wouldn't be wasting all the money on stuff i can get in cheaper (and honest ways), dumb people do that.
I just bought some computer parts (Desktop, of course) and they're the following:
Motherboard (US$208,98): Gigabyte Intel Z77 LGA1155
Graphics Card (US$629,99): EVGA GeForce GTX 680 FTW 4GB
Processor (US$189,99): AMD FX-8150 FX 8-Core Black Edition
RAM (US$94,99): Corsair 16 GB Vengeance Dual Channel DDR3
Solid State Drive (US$139,99): Seagate Momentus XT 750 GB
These parts end up with a sum of US$1.263,94, and it's not even the cheaper place (could of have bought used ones, for example).
If you buy a whole PC with these specs, for example it would end up around US$1.500,00 - equivalent to that AlienWare Laptop: http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-M17x-r4/pd.aspx
Look at the first (and lower) specs listed, that's the crap you get for 1.500 dollars with AlienWare.

Money isn't the problem.
Expensive crappy Mexican parts is.
Jesus christ can you even follow the entire sentence, bro? Not only can you get cheaper priced hardware elsewhere, Alienware have crappier hardware in comparison to most other brands.
Alienware was ok about 5 years or more ago. Now they're just overpriced and extremely limited products in terms of selection+components.
Lets put it this way: I bought my gaming rig 2 years ago for two and a half thousand bucks, the system specs are:
4 cores 8 threaded 64 bit i7 PC @ 2.79GHz, 12GB RAM, nVidia GeForce GTX460.
My friend recently bought (barely a month ago) an Alienware "gaming rig" that was slightly more expensive than my PC, and HIS computer has only a single core for the CPU and 4 gigs of RAM in comparison. Not only does my rig outperform his in every way, mine wins out automatically because I bought my rig 2 years ago for slightly less the price that he bought his for while also STILL being an up-to-date render beast for intensive gaming sessions.
Face it. Alienware = overpriced and therefore shit.
Anyone still trying to argue that Alienware computers are "gooder" or that "money doesn't matter" needs a slap square to their forehead and several years of computer hardware education. Preferably at a respectable university.
Yet i prefer to do so because that way i can choose exactly what i want and know exactly each spec of the computer.

I didn't say anything about how good they are or how crappy they are or anything else, i said it depends of the person, everybody can choose what to buy, old or not, expensive or not, you can't tell anybody what to buy, it's everybody's own life everybody decides for himself.

One buys expensive stuff while being able to pay less for it because one is dumb - end of story.

Good work on practically saying the same thing i did, now stick to the topic.
Do not buy AlienWare, simple drill.
