Stranded II Mods TheSurvivalist:Christmas Update 12-24-19making fencing you can leave 1 section out till you herd them in....then build the last fence to inclose them. Or you can build a Palisade Gate and then fencing or walls off of it, so you actually have a door to open & close.
for breeding...if you have 2 sheep within a short distance, they will randomly breed automatically spawning a 3rd sheep at midnight on change day. If very random and can take days or weeks, or you can even have several in a short few days. It is totally random.
So basically you would herd them into an inclosure that is not to huge so they are fairly close together to breed. Make sure if you use the small fencing you over lap the end to ends or they will get out the cracks. Or what i do is build a torch against the cracks that closes the gap if needed. Just be sure the butt the ends so there is no real gaps, or they get out.
note: you can alternatively plant a coconut tree in the middle of a coral you make of fencing too...put the tree in the center. When the sheep spawn they will be inside the fence. Same for a banana tree for monkeys. Or a Kiwi Breeder producing kiwi birds.
A) How do you fill the distiller with water? Am I missing something here or what?
B) How do you plant grain? I have constantly clicked on the ground, and each and every time, a message pops up "You must have the grain in your hand and use the ground to do that."
Despite the annoying, albeit tolerable, grammar errors, I think this is a great continuation of where Builder left off. I'd just like to know those two things. I am sure I'll come across more small bugs and the like, but it is okay with me.
yeah, a few key buttons you'll probably use is E to do stuff...when in doubt hit E lol, C to view your rucksack, X to view your Stats, and SHIFT to sprint or jump far.
but you must put saltwater from the sea into the distiller, it will distill the salt out making fresh drinking water, and salt. about 2-3 bottles a day. Long as there is a fire under it. You can view the Operations in the Diary while playing, it also contains other information "tabs" such as "Combinations".
The 1-18-2013 update should be pretty much bug free...I have poured over it and feel good it should be solid. Unless you transfer a saved game from the prior updates...then you might experience some conflicts.
However, I do recommend starting a fresh game for this update.
EDIT: Well... E seems to be the cure all of this game. Hmm. I still think filling with saltwater and planting should be done by right clicking or left clicking. Just to simplify things. I hate moving my fingers on the dark keyboard in a dark room.
EDIT2: The monkeys are back after I planted a long row of banana trees. Sheep have been reclassified as an endangered species. And if one more monkey takes a crap in my berry bushes, they will be too.

for you to know. build the distiller on the campfire, that's the only way you can do it.
a loong time later, the salt water will turn into water.
ehh... kind of clear I think.
BTW: have an empty bottle in your hand and press "E" while looking at the sea.
Anyway, although I'm still working on getting the SFX and GFX updated, it's going to take longer than I originally planned. Alot longer. As in I planned to finish it by the end of last year long, and it's still not near enough to completion.

There is alot of "hidden" stuff in this game, I know. The in game Diary w/tabs, and the Wordpad Instructions that are in the download explains alot of what your asking.
As it also explains "spawn objects".... that a banana tree spawns moneys while a coconut tree spawns sheep. This keeps animals generating at random intervals as though they exsist and are breeding, and can also allow a player to keep the island extinct of an animal if they choose.
I may change this aspect in the next update, because, as you will find out now now, when you plant "many" banana trees...you will spawn what might be TO MANY monkeys, as far as the hunt & food gathering experience goes...etc.
and yes...there is a bug on entering the mine...we are aware of it and have yet to fix it. I forgot about that when i said it "should be" bug free. I will make it a priority to fix it because then I think it WILL be bug free

I love that idea. This could allow me to change the spawning of animals so they are not attached to a object...such as the monkey to the banana tree. If a player extincts the monkey and wants to bring them back, he could buy something "special" from the pirate that would allow that. Good one!!

Notice 1 gate is up & 1 gate is down, and we have both the other fencing to show how they match sorta.

Nope, I haven't seen him in quite a while. Last I heard though, he was working on a random sequence of maps that will let you get back home.
