What's up with that 9-8 framerate?
Well, this depends on you PC.
Sometimes it runs better with OpenGL than DirectX.
It draws few layers at once, so it's slower atm.
It's 50 - 70 FPS for my slow PC though

the old one is static this one is in realtime.

on the maps are the best I've ever seen
You can create easly your own maps with editor in cs2d. Just open main menu and find button "Editor".
Go to cs2d.com to take FAQ about cs2d editor.
