Its not working.
Try to open the exe whit the hex editor and you well find something.well im not moderator but i haw that idea...

so changing the game version of your exe file is totally pointless and a very bad idea which will only lead to problems.
download the newest version at www.cs2d.com instead.
If you cant open the cs2d whit the hex editor:open the other file whit that editor and then open the exe.

Maybe its pointless for you bechose if you make the full reworked game like SMOD2D(Maybe you remember)you can change the version!
like 5.0.0.0 or something.

Yes XD! Now you can only dream about that version.Or not
But ther is no written version of the game ?1 part of the exe haw unknown words(ther is russian to)and part2 haw scripts.

You Can Just Download The New Version Of CS2D
May be he wants to change the version for new cs2d mod because change the version on a Beta 0.1.1.8. for servers ...
Now that is pointless.
