I thought that I can read your nickname... But no, I fail over and over again.
@ Redoxx-:
Phenixtri used to make some shit (this is pure shit) like that. Go to his profile and check his uploads.

Maybe i'll change it into BullZebu. But that would cause people to flood over my PM box so...

§4.5 - Stick to the point! No off-topic posts! It's a good idea, but ideas that modify the game by trying to simulate/emulate a dimension doesn't work very well. There are exceptions though, some jump/duck scripts with lua have proven to be successful.
and i dont know to use Phenixtri Templates! they are not painted or detailed -.-
And im saying to use 3D player skins on CS2D,is that enough ?
shading&recoloring?
Like This?
or something else?
@ Pagyra: Where did you get that?
cuz i dont know nothing about shading

The cs2d 3d templates arent even looking 3dish its 2FUCKIGND! Realy 3d?, or HD?, or HQ? Get over it its a 2d game...
They're 3d templates so that you can make more accurate 2d sprites.
Like, lets take traditional drawing, the reason you have a model pose for you is not so that you can draw them in 3d, it's so that you can get a more accurate representation of the 3d version into 2d.
Also, Redoxx, this is Chex
2D: Bi-dimensional, width and length. That's X and Y, flat sprites.
SPRITES <-
3D: Tri-dimensional, width, length and height. That's X, Y and Z, 3D models.
MODELS <-
Happy now?
CS2D is a 2D game as the name says, no need to be smart for that. It has only TWO dimensions, there is no 3rd one.
Can you crawl, jump and build 3D maps? With wall height and stuff? NO.
So stop this.

If i'm not mistaken, it's a pack of resized random not 3D sprites he just uploaded.
Anyway 3D sprites/skins won't fit in a topdown view, just don't. The arms will be long and it will look ugly.

[MAJOR UPDATE] CS2D new Base Player Sprites

Also I know they are not 3D I call them that because they are meant to imitate the 3D player models from CS, CS:S esc. from the top down. And my work is experimental so again don't judge them seriously.
As for my templates yes I have found a way to make them work to an extent and my entire player and weapon pack for HL2D is currently implementing them. I will be releasing them when ever I have some spare time and will seeing as I am always busy with shit to do unfortunately Who knew having a life could be a pain in the ass at times >>
Also @ oxytamine: Kinda funny how you call my work shit when you have hardly made anything yourself. Furthermore go fuck your self.
EDIT
@ Sync: good point but hey I found a way to make it work thanks to CS:S
Also take scale into account
CS2D uses colorful and cartoony models and maps.
Making the models more "realistic" with these arms will just look silly and out of proportion.
But hey it's worth a try I guess.
