When I click "Chat" my CS2D crashes.

I think DC didnt do on purpose this. It is a bug. I told him about this bug he said "why didnt you report it to me ?" I hope it will be fix soon.

Deleted User Infinite Rain: Because Matrix2d posted an idea to remove a bug what he thought was not. Then someone commented on it being a bug. Starkkz's idea. DevGru It depends on your connection The chat uses TCP and BlitzMax TCP. DC won't fix the problem though because its not a gerneral problem and because not that much people have the problem. If it crashes too much then don't use it. I had the same problem too.

You can create a sql database module, connect remotely a website and access to some information... this information can be used in the server, like player ranks. Also the IRC plugin I made once, it's not for all platforms... there are more stuff that can be done with it.
Starkkz: Didn't you use LuaSocket in ur IRC plugin? If yes, DC would have to share the networking functions with Lua (idk if it's possible to deny Lua from using existing connections)
But really, I bet that he won't do it
VADemon: I also belive that he's not going to do it, LuaSocket doesn't support multithreading I think. However I managed to build a program with LuaSocket inside Lua's source code, so yeah it works for Windows, Linux and MacOS X. And no, I didn't use LuaSocket for my IRC plugin, I had to make my own module which is unstable and doesn't work for all platforms, just windows.About your idea of sharing CS2D's socket functions would work too but it would take a lot of time than just installing LuaSocket source code and importing it to the lua module on BlitzMax.

The files are compressed for transfer anyway so using other formats has no big effect + standard files are not transferred at all so why should I change them to other formats?! Are you still using a 500 mb harddisk from 1990 or why is this so important to some of you?!
