i pasted the ip in "connect to ip" and pressed connect
it said : "Connecting to 0.0.0.0:22050" and it timeout

Or i had the same problem in the past
Or maybe your friend's server is offline/LAN
say to your friend to join his server and write this in his console

If it work enjoy but if it not work I don't know why maybe his router isn't correct
For these code if your friend open his server with new game he need to write in console like this
But if he is using Dedicated he should write
The rcon password and use these commands
If your friend's server won't work when you join maybe tell him to try to open his server with new game or dedicated

It should display the real IP and not just 0.0.0.0
Also read the FAQ if you can't connect. This is the most frequent problem ever. Commonly caused by wrong router settings.
